Amazing service! Luis Miguel helped my mom up the stairs to the terrace. Food was excellent, drinks even better. The Astro viche is the best cocktail I've ever had. Highly recommend! My husband loved their mojito. Beautiful view, friendly service. Wear layers because it can be really sunny or get a little chilly.
Great staff and very nice terrace with a view on Bogotá. I recommend!
Safe stay with the best location! Clean, nice rooms with very comfortable beds. Clean facilities with nice decoration and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and always there to help you with tips and local advice. Located right next to all museums and cultural activities, with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and artisanal stores. Simple convinient breakfast included, great value for price!!
The staff are really lovely and it’s a great location. The beds are big and comfy. The rooftop area is really nice and the breakfast is good. The kitchen could be better equipped and the hallways can be quite noisy in the early mornings but otherwise we had a great stay here, would definitely recommend!
We didn't stay there as a guest but wemt for food and it was really nice. Usually burgers, fries etc are a bit heavy but the ingredients were top notch. Really great :)
I should have mentioned this place—it’s a rooftop located in a hostel in La Candelaria. The place is called Astromelia. It’s super peaceful and cozy. I had some delicious appetizers and received phenomenal service. Thank you so much Luis Miguel . Don’t miss the chance to visit it!
We stayed here for about 6 days. We arrived about 3am and the staff let us in and got us to our room. They had also helped us pre-book a taxi from the airport- really good after a 30 hour flight! The location of this hostel was perfect. It was close to everything; Centro historico, bars, restaurants etc. but on a quiet street. It felt safe to walk home at night and the hostel felt safe too as the staff were always around and we had a key to the front door, as well as our room, so we could enter by ourselves. The staff here were really awesome, Snider especially, who helped us throughout our stay, giving some advice and answering our questions about the city. Also the boss and Luis were very kind to us and the whole staff were always checking we were happy and ok. Nice hot shower which was very welcome in winter temperatures we also really enjoyed the roof terrace area, which had a cracking view of Monserrate. Breakfast was always super fresh and tasty. Not a complaint, but we were there over a long weekend for Colombians and some other guests were not super courteous about being noisy during the night- the staff can't really help if people are rude, but it's worth bringing some earplugs just in case! Most nights were very quiet and calm. I would stay here again. Thank you!
Stayed in the couples room, private bathroom, upstairs. Greeted by friendly staff and owner. Very nice decor. Rooms and bathrooms are very nice. Bed is comfy. All quite stylish and rustic. Opposite, parking is 25'000 over night, or 35'000 for 24 hours. Very good location. But.. don't expect absolute perfection. One of the shutters on our windows does not lock, nor does the sliding glass window, which means security is sketchy. Also, our mirror was filthy, the back of the toilet was filthy... Also, there is a bar in the centre of the hostal which plays loud music, so sleep is out of the question if you go to bed early.
